KATHERINE VAN DYCK joined Cuneo Gilbert & LaDuca in 2012 and has represented plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of complex litigation matters. Her practice at CGL focuses on class action product liability and antitrust litigation. Prior to joining CGL, Ms. Van Dyck practiced law at a District of Columbia law firm focusing on commercial, employment, and civil rights litigation as well as criminal defense. Her experience includes appearances in jury and bench trials and other civil and criminal hearings in federal and state courts, arguing before United States district and appellate courts, and representing individuals in administrative hearings. Significant victories include:
- Winning a $120,000 jury verdict for an individual in a suit relating to the client’s investment in jointly purchased real property;
- Successfully defending an employee-client against allegations of theft of proprietary information; and
- Obtaining summary judgment in favor of a company in a high profile sexual harassment suit.
She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Hayden Head, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Texas, immediately following graduation from law school.
Ms. Van Dyck was a faculty member at the AAJ’s seminar, Trying the Class Action: Practical Tips from the Pros.
She currently serves on Texas Christian University’s DC Metro Alumni Board.

KATHERINE VAN DYCK joined Cuneo Gilbert & LaDuca in 2012 and has represented plaintiffs and defendants in many complex litigation matters. Her practice at CGL focuses on class action false advertising, product liability, employment, and antitrust litigation. Ms. Van Dyck’s experience includes appearances at trials and hearings in federal and state courts as well as before administrative law judges. Her work at CGL has resulted in significant results for employees and consumers including:
- $113.7 million dollar verdict at a damages trial, injunctive relief, and partial summary judgment in favor of 13,000 correctional officers owed backpay for thousands of hours of uncompensated work.
- $3.5 million settlement, after defeating three rounds of motions to dismiss, on behalf of architectural paint purchasers in antitrust price-fixing litigation.
- $2.2 million settlement combined with injunctive relief on behalf of consumers nationwide who alleged false labeling of children’s bath and body products.
Prior to joining CGL, Ms. Van Dyck practiced at a District of Columbia law firm focusing on commercial, employment, and civil rights litigation as well as criminal defense. She was also a faculty member at the AAJ’s seminar, Trying the Class Action: Practical Tips from the Pros, and is a member of Texas Christian University’s DC Metro Alumni Board.
