PETER GIL-MONTLLOR joined Cuneo Gilbert & LaDuca in 2016. Prior to joining CGL, Mr. Gil-Montllor clerked for the Hon. Allyne R. Ross of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He also worked as a litigator at a large law firm in New York, where his pro bono work included obtaining asylum for a political refugee.
Mr. Gil-Montllor is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center. While at Georgetown, he served as an Articles Editor for the Georgetown Journal of International Law and interned in the Office of the Legal Adviser at the State Department. In addition, Mr. Gil-Montllor helped represent the plaintiff in a Supreme Court case concerning collective actions (11-1059, Genesis HealthCare v. Symczyk) and wrote a successful opposition to certiorari in a case challenging an online payday lending contract as unconscionable (13-97, Geneva-Roth v. Kelker).
Mr. Gil-Montllor enjoys ultralight long-distance hiking and has hiked the entirety of the Appalachian, Pacific Crest, Colorado, and Continental Divide Trails.
