KATHERINE VAN DYCK joined Cuneo Gilbert & LaDuca in 2012 and has represented plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of complex litigation matters. Her practice at CGL focuses on class action product liability and antitrust litigation. Prior to joining CGL, Ms. Van Dyck practiced law at a District of Columbia law firm focusing on commercial, employment, and civil rights litigation as well as criminal defense. Her experience includes appearances in jury and bench trials and other civil and criminal hearings in federal and state courts, arguing before United States district and appellate courts, and representing individuals in administrative hearings. Significant victories include:

  • Winning a $120,000 jury verdict for an individual in a suit relating to the client’s investment in jointly purchased real property;
  • Successfully defending an employee-client against allegations of theft of proprietary information; and
  • Obtaining summary judgment in favor of a company in a high profile sexual harassment suit.

She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Hayden Head, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Texas, immediately following graduation from law school.

Ms. Van Dyck was a faculty member at the AAJ’s seminar, Trying the Class Action: Practical Tips from the Pros.

She currently serves on Texas Christian University’s DC Metro Alumni Board.
